Draft terms — this page should be reviewed by a lawyer qualified in your operating jurisdiction before launch. What follows reflects common, reasonable trekking-industry practice, not a substitute for legal advice.
Booking & payment
A booking is confirmed once we’ve received your deposit and confirmed availability for your dates. The balance is due before departure, as set out on our payment page.
Cancellations
Cancellations made well in advance of departure receive a larger refund of the deposit than late cancellations; cancellations inside the final weeks before departure are typically non-refundable, since permits, staff and lodge bookings are already committed on your behalf by that point. We confirm the exact cancellation schedule and cut-off dates in your booking confirmation.
Health, fitness & travel documents
You’re responsible for holding a valid passport, any required visas, and mandatory travel insurance covering emergency evacuation at your trip’s maximum altitude (see our travel insurance page). You’re responsible for disclosing any medical condition that could affect your safety at altitude before departure.
Changes & force majeure
Weather, road/trail conditions, flight delays and government permit decisions can all change an itinerary after departure. Our guides make real-time safety calls, including descent or route changes, and those calls take priority over the published itinerary.
