Permits & fees

Every trek in Nepal needs at least one permit, and the restricted regions need more. Here’s what each of our routes actually requires — no vague “permits included” line item.

Standard permits (every trek)

  • TIMS card (Trekkers’ Information Management System) — NPR 2,000 for group treks. Required on most independent trekking routes; we handle the paperwork before you land.
  • ACAP permit (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) — NPR 3,000, for any route through the Annapurna region.
  • Sagarmatha National Park entry + Khumbu Rural Municipality fee — required for all Everest region routes.

Restricted-area permits

Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Upper Mustang and Dolpo are government-restricted areas — the permit costs more, usually needs a minimum group size of two, and has to be arranged through a licensed operator (that part’s on us, not you). We quote the exact restricted-area fee for your dates when you enquire, since the rate is set per season rather than fixed year-round.

Every quoted trek price on this site already includes the permits that route needs. If you’re comparing us against another operator’s quote, ask what’s actually included — permit costs are the most common thing left off a headline price.
