Our AQTreks Indiegogo campaign has finally ended. We have had such an exciting experience with our campaign, though it was a lot harder to orchestrate than we expected.
Although we did not reach our funding goal, all funds contributed to the campaign will go toward supporting the AQTreks program in schools who do not have the means to participate. Every dollar counts. With the help of our 74 backers, over 6,600 students will be able to participate in the AQTreks program.
We wanted to thank all of our contributors again because we could not have done this without you! In the coming weeks, we will be sending out perk items to our backers, contacting schools, designing curriculum, and planning the AQTreks fall schedule.
Thank you for your support over the last 6 weeks. We can't wait for students to experience the program come fall!
Jess, Jessa, and AQTreks Team
Jess here, Outreach Coordinator for AQTreks! I wanted to give you some updates on what we have been up to at AQtreks lately.
The AQTreks team was in sunny Los Angeles last week at the National Science Teachers Association National Conference and hosted an exhibitor booth to showcase the program and the Personal Air Monitor (PAM). We met more than 100 teachers interested in participating in AQTreks, but can't due to the lack of school funds. Therefore, we need your help to get the program into schools!!!
We are currently hosting a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to get air pollution monitors into the hands of 80,000 students across the US by raising $100,000. As of today, we are at $4,493 and can reach about 3,600 students. We need your help to reach our goal! Please back our campaign here or share our campaign with your networks. The campaign ends on April 26, 2017 at 11:59 PM (PDT). For $195, you or your business can sponsor the school of your choice (or we can choose one for you!) for a two-week experience with the PAM and AQTreks. You will be provided with the following sponsorship benefits:
That's all for now! Happy Friday everyone.
